Raquel Villa is a visual artist and designer.
Her research-driven practice investigates digitally simulated systems that play with strange physics and misbehaving materials.

With a background in architecture, she builds fantasy worlds by exploring parametric systems and natural laws, infusing her digital work with surreal logic and a touch of magical realism.

For nearly five years, she was a Senior Designer at XK studio in London, where she specialised in Houdini and contributed to projects for clients including Google DeepMind, Biotherm, Apple and Sophie.

Since 2025, she has been freelancing between Madrid, London and remote — always open to collaborations that make space for curiosity and ideas that might not fully make sense yet :)
